About The Position

Alto Evergreen Walk is seeking a compassionate, dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our senior living team in South Windsor, Connecticut. This is a great opportunity for an experienced LPN / Licensed Practical Nurse looking for PRN shifts, a supportive team, and a rewarding role caring for seniors in an assisted living and memory care setting. Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing with the state licensing agency, as required by state regulations.
  • CPR/AED certified.
  • Must have at least one (1) year of experience working as an LPN in a senior care setting.
  • Must have positive Criminal Background Screening.
  • The Community is a drug free workplace; associates are subject to adherence to the Company Drug Free Workplace policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems a plus.
  • A team-player positive attitude and a passion for senior care
  • Assisted Living and Memory Care experience
  • Charge nurse or other leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily supervision and leadership to assigned non-licensed associates and other designated personnel in meeting the residents needs and monitor the condition of residents in AL.
  • Demonstrate good decision-making skills.
  • Make work assignments and meet with associates regularly to assist in identifying and correcting problem areas, and/or the improvement of care and services.
  • Provide resident care according to health care providers orders and in accordance with regulatory requirements, recognized nursing practice, established standards, and Company policy.
  • Accurately administer prescribed medications, supervise the continuity of resident care, respond to changes in resident condition, medications, or other circumstances requiring special care needs and perform first aid as required.
