About The Position

This position is responsible for providing licensed nursing services to residents, following the guidelines provided by Senior Lifestyle Corporation. The role involves medication administration, resident admissions, completing care plans, and potentially managing clinical systems like wound or infection control. The nurse will also provide health consultations, communicate changes in resident health to physicians and families, respond to emergencies, and maintain inter-departmental communication. Additionally, the position may involve conducting educational meetings for residents and staff, and maintaining resident confidentiality. Discharges, assessments, and clinical documentation may also be part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Training from an accredited licensed or vocational nursing program.
  • 1+ years of experience in senior care or a related field.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse’s License current in the state in which they are practicing.
  • CPR Certified.
  • Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively.
  • High tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations in a calm and professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Medication administration for residents in compliance with Federal & State regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines.
  • Admissions of new residents, including all admission assessments and documentation.
  • Completing acute and long-term care plans or service plans.
  • Clinical system tracking (i.e., wounds or infection control) under the direction of the director.
  • General consultation regarding health-related concerns within the community.
  • Notifying physicians and/or family members of any change in resident’s health and providing proper documentation.
  • Responding quickly to all emergencies.
  • Maintaining close communication with all departments and staff members.
  • Providing educational meetings for residents and staff.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
  • Discharges, assessments, and clinical documentation as needed.
