The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Ambulatory Obstetrics & Gynecology is responsible for preparing and rooming patients for exams, obtaining vital signs, and documenting health information. They perform laboratory procedures, assist physicians with procedures and surgeries, and administer medications under physician/provider orders. The LPN also provides basic patient education, follows through with necessary requests, and communicates with the healthcare team. Advanced clinical tasks, equipment maintenance, and patient positioning/transporting are also part of the role. This position requires the ability to provide age-appropriate care and demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles.
