Under general supervision, provides general nursing care for patients following established standards and practices. The main responsibility of this position is to administer injections, assessing patients before, during and after treatment. Patient education, documentation, collaboration with clinical staff, and accessing ports. This role will be crossed-trained to cover our Port Room Coordinator. The Port Room responsibilities include daily operations of the port room, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care. This includes patient assignments, medication handling, inventory management, and communication with internal and external partners. Supports and adheres to the Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduated from an accredited program for practical nursing
  • Entry level license practical nurse
  • Current Oklahoma LPN license and registration with the State Board of Nursing
  • Current CPR certification is required
  • Must maintain continuing education requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Prior work in a hospital or clinical setting preferred
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred but not required
