About The Position

The position requires flexibility in scheduling to meet client needs, with potential for 8- to 12-hour shifts, weekend work, and travel to various service locations. Mileage reimbursement is available for eligible travel. Requirements

• Current Georgia license to practice as a licensed practical nurse.
• At least 1 year working in behavioral health/ intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) or related field.
• Must have good computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Communications skills and the ability to foster good relationships among others is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient’s vitals and record them in their file.
• Maintain the cleanliness and comfort of each patient, including bathing, feeding, and dressing.
• Assist nursing and medical staff with basic medical tasks, such as administering medication.
• Update patient records in a confidential manner.
• Evaluate the patient’s wellbeing, reporting any needs to medical staff.
• Explain treatments and procedures to patients and families.
• Assists physicians and registered nurses.
