About The Position
ChristianaCare Women’s Health at Elkton is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to provide exceptional, patient-centered care. ChristianaCare Obstetrics & Gynecology at Elkton provides comprehensive, compassionate women’s healthcare tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Our team of board-certified gynecologists and dedicated healthcare professionals supports women through every stage of life. Services include prenatal and postpartum care, well-woman exams, menopause management, family planning and contraception, and treatment for a wide range of women’s health conditions, including breast and cervical health concerns, urinary tract infections, sexually transmitted infections, menstrual disorders, hormone imbalances, osteoporosis, and more. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide skilled nursing care while monitoring and documenting patient responses to prescribed treatments and nursing interventions, collaborating closely with registered nurses and physicians to support safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
- Current LPN licensure
- CPR certification
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive clinical and patient care support to a diverse patient population, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Prepare and room patients for examinations.
- Obtain and document clinical information.
- Assist physicians with procedures.
- Perform assigned nursing and clinical procedures.
- Safely administer medications.
- Support patients throughout the care process.
- Perform waived and moderately complex laboratory testing.
- Operate and maintain diagnostic and screening equipment.
- Document and record test results.
- Support the office’s laboratory quality control program.
- Maintain accurate patient and laboratory records.
- Monitor supplies and equipment.
- Stock examination rooms.
- Ensure appropriate inventory levels.
- Maintain a strong understanding of infection prevention, safety protocols, patient rights, and emergency procedures.
- Remain calm and effective during emergencies.
- Follow established protocols.
- Communicate appropriately with the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Utilize strong clinical judgment, accountability, and professionalism.
- Provide safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care.
