About The Position

This role is for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Float Pool at Ascension Via Christi St. Joseph in Wichita, KS. The position is full-time and scheduled for nights. The LPN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to execute clinical interventions, monitor patient responses to medications and treatments, execute diagnostic tests and therapeutic services, and educate patients and their families about their care.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

• IV Certified
• Minimum 1 year acute care medical-surgical LPN experience
