About The Position

Join our amazing Saint Luke's Physician Group as a Float LPN! This is a Part Time Days position (24 hours a week) covering the MO and KS regions, specifically the East Region which includes clinics on or near the Saint Luke’s East campus, Blue Springs, and Independence. The role involves providing professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. Responsibilities include screening walk-in patients, telephone screening (with protocols), medication/injection education, assisting with procedures, wound care, dressing changes, suctioning, catheter insertion, tracheostomy care, biopsies, diabetic nail care, and other duties as assigned by the respective clinic. The ideal candidate can work effectively in a team atmosphere as well as autonomously, possesses excellent customer service skills, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times. This role also involves delegating tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel (UAP) in accordance with demonstrated competencies and Scope of Practice, and may include covering Medical Assistant job duties as needed.

Requirements

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Required
Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
Less than 1 year of applicable experience

Responsibilities

Provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.
Screens walk-in patients.
Performs telephone screening (with protocols).
Provides medication/injection education.
Assists with procedures.
Performs cleaning wounds, dressing changes, suctioning, catheter insertion, tracheostomy care, biopsies, and diabetic nail care.
Performs other duties as assigned by respective clinic.
Delegates tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel UAP in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice.
May be responsible for covering Medical Assistant job duties as needed.
