About The Position

Join our Endocrinology Clinic on the Plaza! This is a Full Time position, Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm. No Nights, No Weekends. MO and KS LPN License required. Previous experience working with Diabetes and Pediatrics is needed. The Opportunity: Our Endocrinology clinic at the plaza is seeking a LPN to join their team! You will be working with a variety of providers and their patients, working in a blended role. You will be providing phone triage, assisting with rooming patients, downloading blood glucose meters and pumps, and educating patients on injectable medicines and glucose meters. Because you will not be assigned to one provider, the ideal candidate will be flexible and able to adapt to different provider preferences. We are looking for a strong team player who is willing to jump in and help when they see a need. Previous experience with blood glucose meters and pumps is preferred but not required. In clinic setting: Provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. Responsible for screening walk-in patients, telephone screening (with protocols), medication/injection education, assist with procedures, cleaning wounds, dressing changes, suctioning, catheter insertion, tracheostomy care, biopsies, diabetic nail care, and other duties as assigned by respective clinic. Able to work in a team atmosphere, as well as, autonomously. Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor at all times. Delegates tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel UAP in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice. May be responsible for covering Medical Assistant job duties as needed.

Requirements

  • MO and KS LPN License required
  • Previous experience working with Diabetes and Pediatrics
  • Licensed Practical Nurse - Various
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Less than 1 year of applicable experience

  • Previous experience with blood glucose meters and pumps is preferred but not required
