About The Position

Join our Endocrinology Clinic on the Plaza! This is a Full Time position, Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm with no nights or weekends. The opportunity involves working with a variety of providers and their patients in a blended role. Responsibilities include phone triage, assisting with rooming patients, downloading blood glucose meters and pumps, and educating patients on injectable medicines and glucose meters. The ideal candidate will be flexible and able to adapt to different provider preferences, working well in a team atmosphere and autonomously. We are looking for a strong team player who is willing to jump in and help when they see a need. In the clinic setting, the LPN provides professional nursing care, screens walk-in and telephone patients, provides medication/injection education, assists with procedures, wound care, and other duties as assigned. Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor are essential. The role may involve covering Medical Assistant job duties as needed.

Requirements

  • MO and KS LPN License required
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Licensed Practical Nurse - Various
  • Less than 1 year of applicable experience

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with Diabetes and Pediatrics
  • Previous experience with blood glucose meters and pumps is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Provides phone triage

  • May be responsible for covering Medical Assistant job duties as needed
