LPNs working in Dialysis and under the supervision of the RN will be proficient in providing dialytic therapy to patients with acute renal failure or end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to support outpatient hemodialysis on-site. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will observe safe practices and maintain a safe environment while caring for the patient. You will operate the unit communication systems, facilitate unit communication and relay messages appropriately, including emergency communications, patient needs, telephone and intercom communications, and other departmental communications. You will document patient care/assessment data in the EMR, including vital signs, patient status, treatments, education provided, assessment data, and administration and effectiveness of medication and IV therapy.
