About The Position
The Cardiac Renal Unit (CRU) at Deaconess Midtown is a 39-bed telemetry unit specializing in the care of patients with complex cardiovascular and renal conditions. Nurses on this unit care for patients with conditions such as heart failure, dysrhythmias, unstable angina, pre-open heart surgery, renal insufficiency, and kidney failure. The role involves close monitoring, expert assessment, and decisive action. CRU nurses are expected to recognize subtle changes, interpret telemetry rhythms, manage complex conditions, and prevent complications. The unit fosters critical thinking, confident action, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes. It is described as a place to develop expertise in complex cardiac and renal care.
Requirements
- Active Indiana Licensed Practical Nurse license or valid compact LPN license
