At Appalachian Community Services, we are looking for compassionate and skilled Part-time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BHUC) team. As a BHUC LPN, you will provide essential crisis care, assist individuals through critical moments, and deliver client-centered, solution-focused nursing support. As a BHUC LPN, you will: Conduct telephonic screenings to assess appropriateness for admission. Perform nursing screenings upon arrival, including pregnancy tests, urine drug screens, and breathalyzers. Collaborate with prescribers to review clinical information and determine medication needs or alternative care options. Prepare, administer, and monitor prescribed medications. Provide ongoing medical oversight throughout an individual’s stay. This description outlines the general scope and level of work for this role.
