About The Position

DaVita is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to make an exceptional difference in the lives of patients and their families dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. This role involves delivering care in an empathetic way within a hospital setting. The position offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients and their families in an intimate outpatient setting, be part of a supportive team, and utilize a broad range of nursing skills to deliver care to patients with multiple co-morbidities. The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, with training potentially taking place in facilities other than the assigned home facility, and the possibility to float to various facilities during and after training. A flexible schedule is required to accommodate mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Requirements

  • Current LPN-LVN license in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • IV certification (if required by state regulations).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completed training program approved by the medical director and governing body (as required by CMS guidelines) prior to operating the water treatment system.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook (functional proficiency in DaVita's computer systems required within 90 days of hire).
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment color blind test (accommodations may be provided).
  • Full vaccination against COVID-19 may be required by hospitals in this program, which may include a booster when eligible.

Nice To Haves

  • No Dialysis experience is required! We provide comprehensive, paid training.
  • BONENT or CHT certification preferred (or as required by state regulation).
  • Minimum of one year's experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
