About The Position
The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Licensed Practical Nurse 3 (LPN) in Admissions at Georgia Regional Hospital – Atlanta, located in Decatur, GA. This position is critical to the functioning of the Admissions Unit and Intake process. The nurse will administer medications and injections as needed and observe for any adverse reactions. The LPN will complete all documentation that is applicable, to include vital signs, weights and any treatment that are ordered. This position is subject to close at any time once a satisfactory applicant pool has been identified. National and State background checks are required as a condition of employment.
Requirements
- Current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Six months of nursing experience
- High School diploma/GED and completion of a LPN Program through an approved Georgia Nursing Board; or Vocational/Technical degree from an accredited college
- One (1) year of nursing experience
- One (1) year experience required at the lower-level Licensed Practical Nurse 2 (HCT031) or position equivalent.
Responsibilities

- Complete all applicable documentation, including vital signs, weights, and any ordered treatments.
