8-1400 - Surgical ICU/Progressive Care - Licensed Practical Nurse 2, Inpatient

This is a full-time position available in the Surgical ICU/Progressive Care unit, requiring 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays per unit policy. We are seeking highly motivated and flexible individuals with strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills to join our team. The role involves assisting in the care of all patients. Requires a diploma from an accredited LPN Nursing Program and an active New York State LPN license in good standing. Acute medical-surgical experience or critical care experience is preferred. Requirements

Responsibilities
- In an inpatient setting, remains accountable for provision of direct care to assigned patients.
- Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system.
- Works as a team member and assists other staff members with implementing patient care.
- Assumes responsibility of care for assigned patients under the direction of the co-assigned RN or MD.
- Participates in the plan of care, implements appropriate nursing interventions, and contributes to patient/family education through collection of data, interdisciplinary team collaboration, documentation and excellent communication.
