About The Position

Bacon Plumbing, Heating, Air, and Electric is hiring Licensed Service Plumbers for its Rockwall and Ft. Worth shops. The role focuses on residential plumbing, ensuring repairs are completed properly and reducing or eliminating the potential for water damage and other liabilities. Apprentices, when available, work with and assist a Lead Technician under the Lead Technician’s supervision; apprentice availability is not guaranteed.

Requirements

Current TSBPE license: Tradesman, Journeyman, or Master. Apprentice positions may not be available.
At least 2 years of residential plumbing experience; 1 year is preferred for apprentices.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of the plumbing trade.
Clean, neat, and professional appearance.

Leadership skills to enhance team productivity.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments.
Team-player attitude and willingness to take initiative.
Ability and willingness to work an on-call rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Valid Texas driver license and at least 3 years of driving history.
Must undergo a criminal background check and driving-record check.

Responsibilities

Diagnose plumbing emergencies and perform plumbing services efficiently and accurately.
Repair and replace water heaters.
Install and replace residential plumbing fixtures and systems, including faucets, tubs, and toilets.
Repair and maintain plumbing systems, including replacing washers, mending burst pipes, and clearing clogged drains.
Use conventional sewer machines competently.
Comply with federal, state, and local building and plumbing codes.
Meet weekly with the department manager to discuss work orders, parts, concerns, and goals.
Educate clients about their plumbing systems and maintenance requirements.
Build client rapport through effective communication and excellent customer service.
Assist the Lead Technician with the listed duties when working as an apprentice; apprentice work is performed under the Lead Technician’s supervision and in partnership with them.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary.
