Licensed Plumber/Leak Detection Technician
About The Position
American Leak Detection is seeking highly motivated individuals for a full-time, year-round Licensed Plumber/Leak Detection Technician position. This role offers a career path with advancement and commission opportunities, focusing on performing plumbing installations and repairs while learning leak detection techniques. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable with technology, enjoys working outdoors in various conditions, and can handle flexible schedules including nights and weekends. Requirements
- Nevada Licensed Plumber with experience in spot repairs and new installs
- Mechanically inclined
- Knows how to use a variety of tools
- Ability to take on physical work and capable of moving/lifting up to 100 pounds
- Current Driver’s License, with relatively clean driving record
- Ability to create well written and concise reports to effectively describe the leak issue or repair
- Self-motivated, enjoy working independently, self-starter, organized, and enjoys being self-directed
- Ability to swim
- Neat appearance / Has a high standard of professionalism and character
Nice To Haves
- Experience with power tools
- Comfortable with learning and using new technology
- Vast pool experience and are comfortable swimming
- Enjoy working outside, in a variety of conditions, and not sitting in a cube or office every day
- Appreciate working a flexible schedule, night shifts or weekends as our customer might need
- Enjoy, and be able to, perform intermittent, sometimes heavy, physical labor
- Diving certificate
- Any plumbing, mechanical, pool experience and construction background is a big plus
- Exceptional team player; fun, energetic, goal oriented, positive, optimistic, and great attitude!
Responsibilities
- Perform installs of water monitoring systems and automatic water shut off devices on residential and commercial buildings
- Perform slab and service line repairs for residential and commercial buildings
- Perform full scope pool and spa repairs, including spot repairs, repipes, skimmer and wall fitting replacements, above and below ground repairs, and manifold rebuilds
- Master underground leak locating equipment
- Swim in pools for detection or repair services
- Communicate with management, colleagues, and customers
- Provides professional courteous customer service
- Work outdoors & away from the office
