About The Position

The Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (LPTA) will administer physical therapy treatment to patients under the direction of Physical Therapists. This role supports both inpatient and outpatient settings, involving monitoring patient progress, completing notes and discharge summaries, and ensuring treatments are performed as ordered or documenting any deviations. The position may include additional assigned duties within the scope of the role.

Requirements

• Active PTA license required.
• BLS required.
• Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Ability to work from broad directions and be self-motivated.
• Ability to prioritize workload to achieve maximum efficiency.
• Ability to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds throughout the organization.
• Ability to provide a positive customer service experience to guest, visitors, and patients.
• Knowledge of HIPAA standards and regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• The ability to communicate effectively with patients, guest, and hospital personnel.
• The ability to show compassion and sensitivity for patient comfort.
• The ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures.
• Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.

Responsibilities

• Administer physical therapy treatment to patients.
• Work under the direction of Physical Therapists.
• Assist Physical Therapists for patients in the inpatient and outpatient setting.
• Monitor and complete progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Ensure all treatments are performed as ordered or communicate why any treatment was not performed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned that are within scope of the role.
