Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy
• Current, unencumbered, and active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Iowa
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
• Ability to identify and implement components of physical therapy processes
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively and accurately

Nice To Haves

• Previous outpatient orthopedic physical therapy experience

Responsibilities

• Evaluating new patients
• Developing plans of care
• Setting measurable, functional goals
• Treating patients, addressing their concerns, and providing education on injuries and conditions, progress to reaching desired goals, and probable outcomes
• Monitoring patient response to treatment and intervention, modifying as necessary, to meet the needs of the patient and attain goals in accordance with treatment plans and physician orders
• Consulting directly with treating physicians
• Cultivating effective relationships with referral providers
• Documenting patient evaluations, re-evaluations, daily progress reports, treatments, and discharges of services in a timely manner, accurately recording billable services
• Providing high-level care
• Maintaining patient confidentiality
• Complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations
• Providing physical therapy services to patients in accordance with PT guidelines for professional practices and per ORA clinical policies and standards
