Licensed Outpatient Mental Health Child & Family Therapist (LCSW, LPC)
About The Position
MySpectrum is seeking a licensed (LPC or LCSW) Outpatient Mental Health Therapist in Virginia to provide counseling and coaching to children, families, and adults. The role focuses on individuals within the Autism Spectrum, Substance Abuse Spectrum, Mental Health Spectrum, and Whole Life Spectrum, with a strong emphasis on children and adolescents. The ideal candidate is a creative, relationship-driven, and out-of-the-box thinker who is passionate about innovative treatment methods and reducing the stigma associated with therapy. MySpectrum offers a supportive team environment, handling administrative tasks such as credentialing, billing, marketing, and providing office space and therapy tools, allowing therapists to focus solely on client care. The position offers flexibility in scheduling, with the option to work hybrid (in-office and remote), and provides paid training and collaboration with other clinical professionals.
Requirements
- Must be licensed as an LPC or LCSW in the state of Virginia, and eligible for credentialing with major insurance panels
- Experience with play therapy, family therapy, and child therapy practices, models, and methods of treatment
- Experience working with diverse populations
Nice To Haves
- Registered Play Therapists or those with training in play therapy
Responsibilities
- Provide Outpatient Therapy in standard 50-60 minute blocks
- Complete Assessments
- Complete Treatment Plans
- Complete Progress Notes
- Provide input about the best strategies, techniques, and services to offer to help as many people as possible
