About The Position

Kottemann Orthodontics is growing and looking to hire a passionate, driven, and caring Orthodontic Assistant (Licensed Dental Assistant) who is excited about a fun and rewarding career in the Orthodontic field. This position will primarily be based out of our Plymouth and Orono offices, and occasionally our Chaska office. Part-time opportunities are available. For over 70 years and three generations, the Kottemann family has provided the highest-quality orthodontic care. Requirements

Associate degree or a certification from a college or technical school training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation is required.
Must possess a current and valid Minnesota state Dental Assisting license.

Responsibilities

Assist orthodontists during orthodontic procedures, including placing and removing orthodontic brackets, archwires, and bands.
Take accurate scans/impressions of patients' teeth for the creation of orthodontic appliances.
Prepare and sterilize orthodontic instruments and equipment.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide instructions for appliance care.
Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Provide exceptional customer service and ensure patient comfort and satisfaction.
Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment charts, progress notes, and digital imaging.
