About The Position

Smile Esthetics, located in Victoria, is seeking a Licensed Dental Assistant with Ortho experience to join their team for a full-time, 4 day per week role. The practice offers a wide range of dental services and is known for its high-quality patient care, commitment to continuous learning, and innovative technology. The team is led by Dr. Chris Souliotis and Dr. Shane Francis. This position offers dental benefits, free parking, product discounts, and extended health care. The wage for this role is $32-$36/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.

Requirements

Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required
Previous dental assisting experience is preferred
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
Take dental X-rays and digital images as required
Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care
Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour
