Licensed Optometrist - Poughkeepsie, NY (one day per week)
About The Position
The IMA Group is seeking a licensed Optometrist or Ophthalmologist to conduct independent eye examinations focused on vision loss and visual impairment. This is a flexible, evaluation-only opportunity with no treatment, prescribing, follow-up care, or on-call responsibilities. The role involves conducting comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments, performing visual acuity, visual field, automated perimetry, and related testing, and reviewing medical history and documentation to prepare objective, accurate medical reports. Compensation is approximately $75 per completed evaluation, with the potential to complete multiple evaluations per hour depending on case complexity. The IMA Group's Government Services Division supports various agencies by providing objective medical and psychological examinations. Their Payer Services Division caters to the evaluation and screening needs of various organizations in the workers' compensation, disability, liability, and auto markets. Their Clinical Research Division conducts Phase II-IV clinical trials nationwide.
Requirements
- OD, MD, or DO with an Ophthalmology specialty
- Active, unrestricted New York license
- Strong clinical and documentation skills
