About The Position
LensCrafters is seeking a Licensed Optician to join their team. This role is responsible for delivering the brand's value proposition and establishing LensCrafters as a premier destination for vision needs within the community. The optician will create exceptional value for customers by providing outstanding customer service and high-quality, perfectly crafted eyewear that exceeds expectations. LensCrafters is part of EssilorLuxottica, a global leader in vision care products.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- State Licensure
- Optical dispensing experience
- Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener & team builder
- Knowledge of current store merchandise
- Strong basic math skills
- Awareness of current fashion trends
- Selling skills – ability to use & carry an iPAD/tablet
- Familiarity with POS, computers & calculators
- Embrace new technology & change

Responsibilities
- Welcome all customers and set expectations.
- Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
- Act as a leader in optical acumen.
- Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail, and ensure finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs.
- Assist the team with complex product needs and prescriptions.
- Utilize technology accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume, demonstrating exceptional product knowledge and use of appropriate tools.
- Be proactive, explore the root cause of issues, be forward-thinking, ensure customer satisfaction and exceeded expectations, and be solution-driven.
- Multi-task, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities.
- Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
- Take pride in store appearance and help keep the store clean, attractive, and organized.
- Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.
- Be resourceful, self-motivated with a desire for continual learning, improvement, and results.
