About The Position

Warby Parker is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Optician to join its in-house optical team at Cherry Hill Mall. The Optician helps customers with their eyewear needs, delivers exceptional service, and develops expertise in Warby Parker’s brand and products. The role also involves collaborating with teammates on customer service and sales practices, representing the company’s values and mission, and continuing to build skills through career-advancing resources.

Requirements

• Be a licensed dispensing optician in states that require a license, or an ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states.
• Be passionate about the eyewear and retail industries.
• Communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally, including explaining technical terms to customers.
• Be dedicated to exceeding expectations for customers and teammates.
• Be an energetic, positive team player who can adapt in a fast-paced, changing work environment.
• Be extremely detail-oriented and able to juggle a wide range of responsibilities.
• Be open-minded and continually willing to learn and challenge existing knowledge.
• Not be on the Office of Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to meet their eyewear needs.
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear accurately.
• Check that finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements and requests.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Work with the team to ensure customers receive exceptional service.
• Help customers choose frames and lenses based on prescription needs, fit, personal style, and lifestyle.
• Collaborate with the team to develop sales and customer-service best practices that can be implemented throughout the organization.
• Represent the brand and educate others about its values and mission.
