The Assistant Eyeglass Manager oversees the daily operations of the store, including personnel management and inventory control. They are responsible for ensuring customers have a positive experience from start to finish and keeping associates happy. This role drives, monitors, and achieves profit, sales, and performance goals according to National Vision standards, monitors retail operating costs, budgets, and resources, and optimizes the eyeglass department for efficiency and compliance. The Assistant Manager identifies areas for improvement and creates action plans, conveys a commitment to outstanding customer service, ensures quality standards are met, and oversees effective merchandising and execution of marketing and promotions. They supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates, assist the General Manager with staffing needs, recruiting, and retention, and lead and coach associates towards sales and customer service goals. They may also mentor potential Apprentice Opticians as permitted by law.
