Requirements

Valid Iowa Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license in good standing.
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, or related field.
Previous leadership experience in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting.
Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state skilled regulations, budgeting and financial management, quality improvement initiatives, survey preparedness, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the skilled nursing department with some additional oversight for Assisted Living and Memory Care departments.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including Iowa Department of Public Health requirements.
Plan, implement and administer programs and services including administration, training, and coordination of skilled nursing staff.
Oversee budget, staffing, census development, financial performance, and operational goals.
Drive occupancy, census development, and resident satisfaction.
Maintains communication among governing boards, medical staff, and department heads by attending board meetings and coordinating interdepartmental functioning.
