About The Position

This Per Diem Days position at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, part of Mass General Brigham, is responsible for providing basic nursing care to babies and mothers. The role involves assisting patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, mobility, and toileting. Additionally, the LNA will monitor vital signs, collect specimens, observe and report patient conditions, and administer basic first aid. Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] required
Nursing Assistant [LNA - New Hampshire] required
Knowledgeable in general nursing assistant practices, personal care and basic medical services.
Knowledgeable of patient rights, privacy and confidentiality.
Demonstrates sensitivity to the needs of patients and employees.
Understands and is committed to maintaining highest level of confidentiality and adheres to policies on confidentiality.
Good communication skills both written and oral.
Ability to lift 50 pounds independently.

Nursing Assistant Experience 0-1 year preferred

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on patient/client care.
Assist with grooming and personal care of patient/client.
Feed or assist patients with meals and provide additional nourishment and hydration per care plan.
Collect and bag soiled linen and deliver to dirty linen area.
Assist physician and/or licensed nurse with treatments and procedures as needed.
Provide toileting and incontinence care for patient/client.
Report changes in patient’s condition, patient/family concerns or complaints to charge nurse and/or supervisor.
