The Emergency Department of Southern NH Medical Center continuously provides care to the diverse population of Southern New Hampshire with a 30-bed, critical care unit. In addition to supporting the community as a Level III Trauma Center, and Primary Accredited Stroke Facility, the ED has taken proactive steps to provide safe care to our psychiatric population through the implementation of a 6-bed secured intradepartmental unit. Our robust staff of nurses, paramedics, LNAs and Health Unit Coordinators work 12-hour shifts around the clock to provide a continuously higher level of care to our community. Clinical Assistants (LNAs) are a combination of Health Unit Coordinators and Licensed Nursing Assistants. As a member of the Patient Care Services team, Clinical Assistants support in patient care and coordinate administrative functions of assigned patient care areas and facilitate patient flow throughout the department.
