About The Position

Emerald Heights is a premier life plan community in Redmond, Washington, dedicated to providing residents with the best senior living experience. We offer a full continuum of care, including independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care. We are seeking a Licensed Nurse passionate about providing excellent care to our skilled nursing residents and making a difference in the lives of seniors. Newly graduated nurses are welcome and encouraged to apply. This is a part-time evening position with varying hours during the week and every other weekend.

Requirements

  • Current unencumbered Washington State RN license.
  • Food Handler’s permit, CPR and First Aide.
  • AED or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Willingness to seek out new methods and principles, incorporating them into existing nursing practices.
  • Regular, dependable and reliable attendance.
  • Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and other pre-employment requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Managing resident-directed health services and supervising the day-to-day resident clinical needs during assigned shift.
  • Practicing high standards of nursing care and implementing the policies and procedures of the nursing department.
  • Providing resident-directed services that honor individual lifestyles and preferences.
  • Promoting the Corwin Center as a home for the resident.
  • Consulting with attending physicians for treatments, medications, rehabilitation, etc.
  • Notifying attending physicians, family members, and members of the neighborhood team when there is a change in the resident’s condition.
  • Completing medication and treatment passes in accordance with state regulation and facility policy.
  • Completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, and charting.
  • Providing leadership with coaching and mentoring to the neighborhood team.
  • Providing supervision for NACs’ daily tasks and routine care of residents.
  • Assisting nursing assistant staff in providing direct care when needed.
  • Actively assisting nursing assistants answer resident-initiated call light service requests.
  • Creating and maintaining an atmosphere of personal interest and a positive emphasis on a calm environment throughout all neighborhoods.
