About The Position
Marquis Companies is a growing and dynamic healthcare organization that has been in business since 1989. They employ several thousand employees across California, Oregon, and Nevada and consist of Post-Acute Rehab and Assisted Living Facilities, Marquis at Home, Consonus Rehab, and Consonus Pharmacy. This role is for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) who will be responsible for administering medications to residents as ordered by physicians. For LPNs, duties include administering medications, refilling and cleaning the stock cart, and adhering to nursing standards. For RNs, duties include providing quality nursing care, directing nursing assistants, and meeting with staff to plan shift services, programs, and activities.
Requirements
- Must be a licensed RN or LPN for the appropriate State.
- Strong computer skills are needed for use of our electronic medical records system.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a healthcare setting working with the geriatric population is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Administering medications to residents as ordered by the attending physician, nurse supervisor, charge nurse, and/or Director of Nursing Services.
- Refilling and cleaning the stock cart.
- Administering medications in accordance with established nursing standards, policies, procedures and practices of the facility and the requirements of the state.
- Performing other nursing duties as assigned.
- Meeting with assigned nursing staff and support personnel to plan the shifts’ services, programs, and activities (for RNs).
