The Licensed Nurse in the Health Care Center provides skilled nursing care and clinical support to residents requiring short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and ongoing medical support. This position may be filled by either a Licensed Practical Nurse or a Registered Nurse, depending on facility needs, candidate qualifications, and licensure. The position is responsible for providing safe, effective, compassionate, and resident-centered nursing care in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, facility policies, professional standards, and the employee’s scope of licensure. Licensed Practical Nurses and Registered Nurses may perform shared licensed nursing duties; however, Registered Nurses may also be assigned additional duties requiring RN-level licensure, clinical judgment, assessment, supervision, delegation, or oversight. Compensation is determined by licensure level, experience, qualifications, and assigned responsibilities. LPN candidates are paid within the LPN pay range, and RN candidates are paid within the RN pay range.
