Licensed Nurse Assistant - Medical/Surgical Unit
About The Position
Under the supervision of the Licensed Nurse, performs direct and indirect nursing care for patients in the Medical/Surgical Unit. The Licensed Nurse Assistant is responsible for the care provided to assigned patients and accountable to the unit manager/charge nurse. This role involves providing care in conformance with Nursing Department Policies, Standards of Practice, physician orders, and an approved plan of care. Key responsibilities include promoting communication of patients’ status, changes in condition, and patient needs with the licensed nurse, and functioning within Nursing Department and CVMC/WDR policies and procedures. The position also supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the nursing department and CVMC/Woodridge.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Successful completion of 75-hour Nursing Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation program.
- Registered in the State of Vermont as a Licensed Nursing Assistant.
- Must demonstrate ability to perform basic nursing care skills.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience as a Licensed Nursing Assistant in a health care setting is preferred.
