About The Position

This role focuses on providing specialized nail services and treatments within an outpatient podiatry setting. The technician will possess a thorough knowledge of nail care, basic foot massage techniques, and a neat application of polish, with a primary emphasis on foot treatments. The position requires excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills, a willingness to learn spa-specific nail service offerings, and strong communication abilities to effectively meet client needs and promote products and services. The technician will ensure clients feel welcome, uphold sanitation standards, maintain spa appearance, and assist in various operational tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Current applicable state Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners Manicurist License or Cosmetologist License.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized nail services and treatments that meet the clients' needs and expectations.
  • Explain products, services and treatments to clients and assists them with determining their individual needs.
  • Ensure clients feel welcome when they arrive for their appointments.
  • Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa's policies and procedures.
  • Maintain spa appearance and cleanliness.
  • Stock and maintains work stations according to standard operating procedures.
  • Promote and up-sell products and services.
  • Ensure that a high standard of service is maintained throughout the spa.
  • Participate in activities such as staff meetings, promotions, housekeeping duties.
  • Responsible for washing and folding of all linens used in treatment rooms.
  • Maintain and increase knowledge of product line, and nail care treatments by attending in house instruction, and education/training classes.
  • Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
