Licensed Mental Health Therapist (In-Person, Baton Rouge, Louisiana)
About The Position
Charlie Health is seeking exceptional Licensed Mental Health Therapists/Counselors to provide telehealth services. We are looking for forward-thinking professionals in mental health, substance use, and eating disorders to enhance our programming and deliver the best possible care to our clients. This role can be a contract/1099 position or a W2 position. The contract position offers flexibility in scheduling and location, requiring a minimum of 12 hours per week for group, individual, and/or family sessions. The W2 position requires full-time availability, including some evenings and Saturdays, for group, individual, and/or family sessions. Our clinical team is known for its warmth and empathy. While individual clinicians have unique styles, all team members must be proficient in various modalities. Successful candidates are committed to improving client well-being, adept at self-care, and prepared to address the behavioral health crisis. We are a mission-driven team focused on expanding access to life-saving behavioral healthcare. This is an in-person position based in Baton Rouge, LA, with required in-office hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Requirements
- Licensed mental health or substance use counselor (all disciplines welcome).
- Masters degree in mental health or related field.
- Experience working with a wide range of ages, including children, teens, young adults, and adults clients.
- Familiarity with and willingness to use cloud-based communication software—Gmail, Slack, Zoom, Dropbox–in addition to EMR and outcomes survey software on a daily basis.
- Must be available in the evenings to meet the schedules of our clients.
- For W2 position: full-time availability with some availability in the evenings and Saturdays required.
- For 1099 position: ability to dedicate a minimum of 12 hours per week.
- For W2 position: full-time availability with some availability in the evenings and Saturdays required to facilitate group sessions and take on individual and/or family sessions.

- Well versed in a variety of modalities and feel confident integrating them into your treatment approach (DBT, CBT, EMDR, MI certification is a plus).
- Passionate about the benefits of group treatment and skilled in conducting group treatment.
- Creative and engaging, especially over video!

Responsibilities
- Provide telehealth services to clients with mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and eating disorders.
- Facilitate group sessions, individual sessions, and/or family sessions.
- Integrate various therapeutic modalities into treatment approaches.
- Work with a wide range of ages, including children, teens, young adults, and adults.
- Participate in case discussions to leverage expertise and develop new skills.
- Complete clinical documentation, potentially utilizing AI-powered tools.
- Maintain a caseload of motivated clients.
- Adhere to in-office hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, for the in-person Baton Rouge role.

- Total target base compensation between $53,000 and $75,000 per year.
- Target performance-based bonus.
- Target total cash compensation range between $57,000 and $80,000 per year.
