About The Position

Sunset Counseling Services, LLC is a community-rooted outpatient counseling practice in Tooele, Utah, serving children, adolescents, adults, and couples. The practice focuses on clinical needs in anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. The role emphasizes supporting clinicians so they can provide comprehensive care, with the belief that when clinicians have what they need, both they and their clients flourish. The position offers supervision from an experienced Clinical Director, real administrative support, flexible caseloads, and adaptable scheduling. The clinical focus is on individual therapy, with couples and family work being optional. The practice does not provide services for substance abuse as the primary diagnosis.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Clinical Psychology, or a closely related behavioral health field.
  • Active Utah licensure as LCSW, LCMHC, or LPC — or an associate-level credential (CSW, CMHC, PC) actively working toward full independent licensure.
  • Demonstrated competency in interventions for anxiety, depression, trauma, and/or relational concerns.
  • Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, and solution-focused therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a full-time direct-care caseload of at least 30 face-to-face client hours per week, with flexibility to carry more if desired, providing therapy grounded in evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, and solution-focused therapy.
  • Provide comprehensive clinical care outside of sessions to ensure continuity of treatment.
  • Participate in weekly team clinical consultation for case collaboration, peer support, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with clients throughout treatment planning, supporting their active role in their own progress.
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory, ethical, and organizational standards.
