About The Position

The Mental Health Provider delivers mental health services—including outreach, assessments, counseling, psychotherapy, and case management—using evidence-based practices for a diverse patient population. The role also provides consultation to intra-agency personnel in an integrated health care setting. The provider works as part of an interdisciplinary team and coordinates care with community agencies in support of Ryan Health’s mission and goals. Treatment services include crisis intervention and brief- or long-term supportive and insight therapy, using modalities such as individual, group, and family therapy. The provider screens and evaluates referred patients, serves the patient population assigned, and offers counseling to patients and families to address agreed-upon problems. Services may include home visits when clinically indicated and approved by an immediate supervisor. The position works variable hours based on program needs. The provider coordinates with treatment teams, other providers, collateral contacts, and community organizations; identifies treatment priorities and appropriate outside referrals; advocates for patient services; and acts as a resource and liaison when needed. The role integrates mental health care with medical and social services, evaluates care with team members and through supervision, maintains professional competence, and completes timely and accurate statistical documentation. The provider follows agency and departmental policies, infection-control requirements, and professional standards; attends required meetings; and promptly reports problems or unusual occurrences to supervisors.
