The Mental Health Professional provides clinical services to individuals under the supervision of the Mental Health Coordinator, Clinical Supervisor or Mental Health Director. They conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide evidenced-based psychotherapeutic interventions. Additionally, they provide mental health consultation and training to facility staff. Candidates should be comfortable with: crisis management, severe mental illness, brief, solution focused interventions, substance use and withdrawal awareness, boundary setting & manipulation awareness, interdisciplinary collaboration, and emotional resilience. In addition, the role focuses heavily on 5150/5250 mechanics, Title 15 & BSCC Standards, and CalAIM continuity of care.
