About The Position

The Children's Home of Pittsburgh is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor. We are currently looking for a dynamic therapist, passionate about working with children, teens, and their families, with availability to work a minimum of two evenings and/or Saturday as part of a regular schedule. The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will be able to work as part of a counseling team and be supported through regular counseling treatment team meetings or supervision. This position serves both in person and telehealth clients. Experience working with children with a range of concerns including stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, loss, foster care or adoption. Must have LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or LSW or LAPC who is within one year of obtaining full clinical licensure. Supervision towards licensure can be provided. Must practice from a trauma informed lens. Must have evening and/or Saturday availability.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field, required.
  • Current, active, PA clinical license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) or licensure (LSW, LAPC) with ability to obtain clinical licensure within first year of hire required.
  • Minimum of one year experience in clinical work with children required.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health conditions and evidence based therapeutic interventions for treatment required.
  • Strong knowledge of the impact of trauma and trauma informed interventions required.
  • Strong ability to build rapport with and communicate with all clients, regardless of age, preferred gender, sexual orientation, or other belief systems required.
  • Must have evening and/or Saturday availability.
