Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
About The Position
A growing telehealth team is seeking a Massachusetts Licensed Mental Health Counselor to provide online therapy services to clients seeking steady, professional mental health care. This role is focused on helping clients better understand their challenges, develop practical coping tools, and move toward realistic treatment goals. You will provide therapy through a remote platform, complete clinical documentation, and help clients work through concerns such as anxiety, mood changes, trauma-related symptoms, family stress, work pressure, grief, and major life changes. This position is ideal for an LMHC who wants a structured remote role with dependable full-time compensation.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Mental Health Counselor license in Massachusetts
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field
- Previous experience providing therapy to adults, adolescents, couples, or families preferred
- Comfortable using telehealth platforms, EHR systems, and digital documentation tools
- Strong understanding of clinical assessment, treatment planning, and progress notes
- Ability to manage a remote caseload with professionalism and reliability
- Must have a private, secure workspace suitable for telehealth sessions
Responsibilities
- Provide scheduled virtual therapy sessions for clients located in Massachusetts
- Gather clinical information during intake and ongoing sessions
- Develop care plans that are specific, realistic, and clinically appropriate
- Help clients identify patterns, strengthen coping skills, and work toward treatment goals
- Record clinical notes, assessments, and updates in the electronic health record
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, state regulations, and professional counseling standards
- Evaluate changes in client presentation and adjust treatment recommendations as needed
- Follow established steps for crisis concerns, safety planning, and higher-level care referrals
