Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
About The Position
We are looking for a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor to provide therapy services through a remote telehealth model. This role involves meeting with clients in scheduled video sessions, understanding their mental health needs, creating care plans, and helping them work through personal, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Clients may be seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship stress, work-related stress, or life transitions. The LMHC will provide structured counseling, monitor progress, and keep clinical documentation current while maintaining a professional and secure virtual care environment.
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Florida LMHC license in good standing
- Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
- Comfortable using telehealth platforms and electronic health records
- Strong clinical judgment, documentation skills, and professional communication
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Reliable internet connection and a private workspace for client sessions
Nice To Haves
- Experience providing therapy to adults, adolescents, couples, or families preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver virtual therapy sessions to clients using a secure telehealth system
- Complete client intakes, psychosocial assessments, and clinical reviews
- Identify appropriate therapy goals based on presenting concerns and diagnosis
- Provide counseling support using evidence-based and clinically appropriate methods
- Help clients strengthen coping skills, decision-making, self-awareness, and emotional balance
- Maintain complete and timely documentation for all services provided
- Monitor client safety and respond according to established clinical protocols
- Protect client confidentiality during all remote sessions and communications
- Stay aligned with Florida licensing requirements and ethical counseling practices
- Use electronic health record systems to manage notes and treatment information
