Licensed Mental Health Counselor
About The Position
TK Health Clinics is seeking an experienced Mental Health Director / JBBS Coordinator to lead behavioral health services and coordinate Colorado's Jail Based Behavioral Health Services (JBBS) Program at the Pitkin County Jail. This unique hybrid role combines direct clinical services with program coordination, community engagement, and continuity of care planning for individuals working to rebuild their lives. The impact you'll make is helping individuals gain access to treatment, behavioral health resources, recovery support, housing assistance, and community services that can significantly improve long-term outcomes. You'll work alongside correctional, medical, psychiatric, and community partners to ensure individuals receive the care and support they need during incarceration and beyond.
Requirements
- Active Colorado LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent license preferred
- Experience providing behavioral health services
- Knowledge of substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work effectively in a correctional healthcare environment
- Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive background investigation

- Experience with case management or care coordination preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct mental health assessments and evaluations
- Provide individual counseling and crisis intervention
- Develop treatment plans and clinical recommendations
- Coordinate care with medical and psychiatric providers
- Monitor inmate mental health status and facilitate referrals
- Coordinate Jail Based Behavioral Health Services activities
- Conduct eligibility screenings and assessments
- Manage referrals and treatment coordination
- Facilitate discharge planning and continuity of care
- Connect individuals with housing, treatment, and community resources
- Collaborate with courts, probation, parole, social services, and community partners
- Maintain program compliance, documentation, and reporting
