Licensed Mental Health Counselor
About The Position
The Children's Home of Pittsburgh is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor. We are currently looking for a dynamic therapist, passionate about working with children, teens, and their families, with availability to work a minimum of two evenings and/or Saturday as part of a regular schedule. The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will be able to work as part of a counseling team and be supported through regular counseling treatment team meetings or supervision. This position serves both in person and telehealth clients. Experience working with children with a range of concerns including stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, loss, foster care or adoption. Must practice from a trauma informed lens. Requirements
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
- Current, active, PA clinical license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) or licensure (LSW, LAPC) with ability to obtain clinical licensure within first year of hire.
- Minimum of one year experience in clinical work with children.
- Strong knowledge of mental health conditions and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for treatment.
- Strong knowledge of the impact of trauma and trauma-informed interventions.
- Strong ability to build rapport with and communicate with all clients, regardless of age, preferred gender, sexual orientation, or other belief systems.
- Must have evening and/or Saturday availability.
