Requirements

Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or similar).
Experience working with children and individuals with developmental differences.
Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and child development.
Ability to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging therapeutic environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills — we thrive on collaboration!
A heart for families, a sense of humor, and a belief that therapy should feel like hope in motion.

Responsibilities

Conduct compassionate, developmentally appropriate assessments to understand each child’s unique needs.
Create and implement individualized treatment plans that support emotional regulation, confidence, and connection.
Provide individual and small group counseling using evidence-based approaches that meet kids where they are.
Partner with families, caregivers, and fellow therapists (speech, OT, PT) to build consistent support across settings.
Offer crisis management and behavior support when needed, with calm professionalism and care.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with professional and ethical standards.
Participate in collaborative team meetings, community outreach, and the joyful energy that makes Small Talk special!
