About The Position

CHP is seeking licensed mental health clinicians who are motivated to work with incarcerated individuals at the Yuba County Jail. LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and licensed psychologists are welcome to apply. Clinicians will provide patient care, help develop mental health curricula, and support the growth of pre-licensed clinicians through supervision as licensed practitioners.

Requirements

• Hold unrestricted, independent licensure in California as an LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or licensed psychologist.
• Experience working with behavioral and mental health challenges.
• Familiarity with motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy.
• Proficiency in conducting individual and group therapy sessions.
• Strong understanding of behavioral therapy principles.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document patient behaviors and progress.
• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Assist in developing additional mental health curricula.
• Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions with an individual caseload of youth.
• Collaborate with the clinical and multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care, including discharge planning for continuity of care.
• Supervise 1–3 pre-licensed mental health clinicians through weekly supervision, consultation, and documentation review.
