Requirements
- Valid Licensed Medication Technician (LMT) or Qualified Medication Aide (QMAP) certification in the state of practice.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
- Ability to administer medications accurately and safely.
- Strong observational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a Med Tech or in a similar healthcare role.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide medication administration and treatments as ordered by the physician.
- Observe residents for any reactions or side effects to medications and report to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all medications administered and treatments performed.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
- Participate in resident care planning and team meetings.
- Adhere to all Brookdale policies and procedures, including safety and infection control protocols.
