About The Position

Under general supervision, performs skilled journey-man level work in the mechanical repair and maintenance of building and equipment; and performs related work as required. The Electrician will install and maintain the electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in buildings.

Requirements

Completion of a formal apprenticeship and valid electrician’s license required.
2 years’ experience.
Electrical License & Driver’s License.
Knowledge of mechanical tools and equipment
Knowledge of electrical tools and equipment.
Blueprint reading and code requirement.
Able to communicate with a wide range of people from cooks to valet.
Able to complete OSHA forms and work orders.
Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, repetitive motions.
Heavy work, exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally.

Responsibilities

Repairs and maintains machinery, plumbing, physical structure, grounds, electrical and HVAC in accordance with blueprints, manual and building codes.
Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables.
Ensures piping complies with electrical codes.
Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
Inspect electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
Replace conduit and wiring as needed.
Replace circuit breakers as needed.
Tests on electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
Performs routine maintenance on machines.
Install electrical equipment and repair or replace wiring, fixtures, and bulbs.
Repairs or replaces concrete, plaster walls, paint walls, floors, ceiling, or fixtures.
Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators and other plumbing equipment, and opens clogged drains.
Repairs various types of furniture, doors, windows, floors, lockers, gates, roofs, ceilings.
Digs ditches and trenches.
Remodels rooms, new construction.
Repairs or replaces various kitchen/bar equipment.
Maintains grounds.
Performs related duties as required.
