About The Position

At Riverwood Center, a team of caring and committed professionals provides a wide array of personalized services to individuals with behavioral health, intellectual & developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders. Riverwood Center is located in Southwest Michigan with staff at seven sites across Berrien County. The center is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and is a member of Southwest Michigan Behavioral Health, Michigan Association of Community Mental Health Boards, and the National Council for Behavioral Health.

Requirements

Master’s Degree in an appropriate mental health discipline.
Two or more years’ experience providing treatment to individuals with a mental illness.
Excellent computer and interpersonal skills, punctuality, ability to organize and manage several projects/tasks simultaneously, and work independently.
Licensed by the Michigan Department of Commerce or Professional Regulation as a Master's Social Worker, OR Licensed Professional Counselor.

Nice To Haves

Experience in treating individuals with substance use disorders preferred.
Preferred candidates will possess CAADC or eligible for Development Plan.

Responsibilities

Provides individual, group, and family therapy to individuals diagnosed with mental illness and substance use disorders.
Prepares comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessment, treatment plans and periodic reviews.
Completes brief assessment, crisis intervention and pre-screens as needed.
