About The Position
Provides professional social services, including, but not limited to, psychosocial assessment, patient advocacy, discharge planning, resource management, crisis intervention, community education, and supportive counseling, designed to meet the varying psychosocial needs of patients admitted and their families.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (LMSW).
- Social Worker in good standing with Louisiana State Board of Social Work Examiners.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough assessment skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and decision-making.
- Basic computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the medical field and/or knowledge of medical terminology beneficial.
